So now I love our place! I still wish that we were in Hawaii or some place warm....maybe I can just pick my building up and toss it to Hawaii. But I love the way it feels when I walk into the door now. It might have something to do with my husband as well :) but now I feel like we can call our place a little home now. Who knew new furniture could do that!

Get Ready for A Doozy

So as I sit here catching up on Pretty Little Liars and maybe Dexter later, I thought it would be a good idea to catch up on my blogging as well....so here are pictures and videos (because we got a sweet video camera from my parents) of things since our Anniversary in August....whoa!

We got to have our anniversary off and we went up to West Yellowstone to watch 7 Brides for 7 Brothers at the Playmill, these pictures are of us driving home, which I know wasn't the most safe thing to do but I am an adult (talking straight to my mom (: )

Then the next day I made a good dinner, which I can't even remember now what I made, it was that good. And we ate our year old top of the cake. First bite is the first pic and our reactions immediately afterward.....I think our faces explain it all but if you don't get it, it was absolutely disgusting. Yea to year old cake that is freezer burned!!!!

In September we started school, full time work, and I was getting ready to go to grooming school, but we were able to slip down to Blackfoot for a couple of days and go to the State Fair. So these are the only pictures I remembered to take but we had a fun time walking around with my grandparents and eating a ton of deep fried heaven.

Phew a few months down now to October. We had not a lot to report, I'm still trying to convince my husband that Haunted Houses are the coolest thing since Slice Bread, however two Octobers have now passes and I have yet to take him to one. Fingers Crossed for next year.
But we did get to carve pumpkins with our cousins which turned out amazing!
We were able to go home for Halloween to Colorado and see Gabe get the priesthood but I didn't take any pictures...sad...its part of my New Years Resolution however I'm not to January yet.

November was good, still swamped with school but for Thanksgiving we had it will our pictured above cousins. And it turned out great. For my first holiday cooking I think it was a success.

December. It was great, but very hectic. Kiffer and I have to work the holidays, oh the joys of retail, but my parents drove up and we were able to get a couple of days with them. And we even were able to squeeze in a mini trip to Utah to see Kiffer's family.

Did you know that adding Videos to this thing take an incredibly long time! Freak! I had a ton to put on here, mostly to embarrass my husband (just imagine him playing Just Dance) but I don't know if I can wait. So if there are no videos (I will post them later) that is why......if there are that means I gave up and came back to this post later. haha!

So we are all caught up however I had a video of New Years Eve. But whatever with the video. SO new years resolutions for myself

1.) finally lose the weight---which i'm down 12 pounds already! My goal is to be my high school weight by september because thats when JD gets home.
2.) take more pictures. I use to be a picture-holic in high school, just ask any of my friends, or look at my facebook but I've slacked since I've been married and I need to get back into it.

Anyway happy New Years to everyone! Its going to be another great year.

I haven't forgotten

....even if it seems like I have, I know I still have a blog. And yes a lot of things have happened, but nothing that is really worth posting about....except that there is....so to start....

we finished another semester of school!! and its the main reason that I haven't blogged. The other main reason is that I became a groomer, of dogs that is. So between two schools and full time work I didn't have much spare time to blog. But alas all thing must end and both schools have and now I just have to worry about is not being scratched, bite, or eaten to death at work.

However even if I only have to worry about work now I'm fully exhausted and haven't had a proper break, which probably explains why I'm sick now :( but I only have a few weeks left until we head to MEXICO!!!!! Everything is set! I have a hotel, we know how to get there, all the documents are filled out, and now we basically have to wait until the 11th.

The only thing left is to lose another 10 pounds. I have started weight watchers, along with the rest of the women in my mom's family, and I am down 7.5 pounds in almost 2 weeks. However with my sickness I'm hoping it doesn't set me back to much. So cordon bleu is in the oven (only 8 points) and I'm sick of watching my husband play video games so I will be better at blogging but I think its my turn to be 007!

Mornings

Lately I have been sooo tired that I just sleep for like 12+ hours. Crazy, I know. And to top it off we have no food, I just haven't had time to go shopping. So I was looking in my fridge the other day and all I saw was bread and butter and I was like, sad thats so boring. But then I remembered we use to make cinnamon toast all the time with hot chocolate! Oh memories!
So for the past few mornings I have been indulging in hot chocolate and cinnamon toast! It makes getting up and doing homework all most worth it!

P.S. A huge post is coming with pictures from the last month but neither one of my computers want to read my camera so be patient for me, because I'm like losing my mind! :)

Contradicting Feelings

One of my goals is to get back to my high school weight....totally do-able but yet it seems to be a serious downfall because i LOVE food! So about a year ago I caved in and I bought myself p90x (mind you it was a seriously cheap deal for the complete set...if your interested THIS is the site).
So now a year later I have yet to complete the 90 day challenge but that has ended! I have taken my before pictures and started my work out log and have been pretty consistent. but OH MY HECK, I hurt! So yes P90X I hate you but yet I love you!

Kiffer is also doing it but our friend Chris is currently living with us so I let the boys work out, and then I do the "serious" workout later.

So I got the idea for this next project from one of Kiffer's cousins. They have something similar in their kitchen and I just couldn't resist. In fact I also made one for on of our good friends wedding gifts! I love them, they turned out very cute!

I love crafts, the whole making a craft is refreshing and I can't get enough. However what I love even more than doing crafts is having completed crafts. I'm glad that they're done and my living room is clutter free again!

A Quick Breather

I have been running, more like sprinting, since the first week in July. And because of that blogging was not among the things that required my attention, till now.
I have had a lovely 2 days off with out asking for it and I get tomorrow off as well. SO I'm trying to be productive and get somethings done but I find that I have so much time that I haven't gotten anything done till right this minute, like I haven't even exercised (i'm going to look awful in feb if i dont get my act together!)! I'm counting the blog as being productive. So I think the last time I wrote was in June about the cruise so to sum up our last month and a half here we go:

The 4th of July we got to go back to Colorado and visit both of our families! It was a blast but exhausting, we were constantly running for those 4 days. We went to Cheyenne Mountain Zoo and feed the giraffes, went to Elitche's, tons of eating, talking, and running back in forth between our parents homes. But it was a nice little break to get out of Idaho and away from school.

School ended the 22 for both Kiffer and I, I didn't think we would make it. I had so many projects piled on me that last week I was about to run a rampage through the school and hurt someone. But we finished, I'm still alive, kiffer is still alive, and no one was seriously injured from my furry. :)

Right after school my parents came up for the week and we headed up to Henry's lake and Yellowstone. We went to the playmill Theater, saw a mommy bear and her 2 cubs, and a male bear, lots of bison, elk, and other wildlife, went swimming in firehole canyon, boated and fished on henry's lake, and ate a ton of food! Oh also a side note we went to church sunday morning and this church has 2 church buildings and we still had to sit outside in the grass! there had to be like a billion people there. Haha!
Things didn't go perfectly on this trip, and actually it would be okay if i forgot some of it, but it was nice to be with my famiily.

Since the trip we have just been working. Its weird to have all this free time and not have to worry about something due. I really like it.

Not too much big news. I am going to grooming school through petsmart soon, not sure when yet, but i'm excited, it will help us out financially a lot until one of us can graduate and get a real job. (I hope its not too far in the future)
I have been playing my trombone a lot recently, a great stress release, except i'm sure my neighbors hate me. Oh well.
OH OH OH!! i almost forgot, we named the black kitty. Her name is....drum roll please.....Nakina! It was one of the bears up in yellowstone and I thought it was so pretty so I snagged it. It is a much better choice than squeakers and bright eyes like my husband wish we had named her. Lets just state now that we will be having a hard time naming our kids.

We also got a carpet cleaner in preperation for people staying out our place. here is a before:

Can't really tell in the picture but there is a HUGE difference! I'm very happy! No more cat pee smell and sad thing. We had to throw away my blue fluffy chair that i've had forever because the black cat keep peeing in it. Sad! hopefully thats all done now!

Anyways that is all that I can think of! We are significantly poorer now after all our vacations but well rested....I can't wait till February to go on another one!

Bountiful Baskets

This is probably the most AMAZING thing anyone has ever told me about. It took a lot of reminding and an actual phone call on the night of contributions (thanks Heather) to remind me to sign up so that I could get a basket.

For those of you that don't know what i'm talking about its this: 15 dollars gets you a huge basket a fruit, locally grown, which is why they can get it so cheap, 10 more dollars gets you either bread, tortillas, granola (well at least this time) so you pay no more than 25. You pay monday and pick up is saturday!

This is what I got for 15 dollars:
1 bag red grapes
1 bag bing cherries
20 plums
1 bunch of bananas
5 tomatoes
9 peaches
1 bag carrots
1 head romaine lettuce
3 heads of fresh broccoli
1 cantaloupe
1 huge bag of fresh green beans :)
2 large avocados!

all for 15 dollars! we went and priced out what it would have cost us to get all that at the grocery store last night....we saves about 20 bucks! I LOVE good deals!

Thanks Bountiful Baskets for existing......you just made eating healthy fun (and Cheap!)

Relaxing

I'm sitting here, reading a ton of people's blogs, holding baby kitty and thinking how come my blog isn't as cute as all of the other ones?
i've concluded that
1.) you need to have kids (because lets face it, kids are way cuter than any adult I know....except for the little buggers that come into the store and knock over the entire flea and tick display and then run screaming to the fish section.. sigh)
2.) you need to be an English major. These people tend to make the most mundane daily occurrence just simply hilarious.

Even though the about 2 points don't apply to me I still have a blog, I still write on it, and I still like it :)
Mostly right now I need an excuse to not get up (warm kitty+comfy chair=my situation) because I do have things to do...but I am just going to take a minute, or two, or an hour to
a.) do nothing
b.) enjoy the peace and quiet
c.) and just RELAX! ( i am sick still, ya know)

This weeks goal is to find something to make, craft wise, I haven't made anything since my mother-in-laws Christmas present, and that's so not like me. any ideas you've seen let me know!

until then i'm anxiously awaiting saturday for my first Bountiful Basket pick-up!!!! and Lego Harry Potter wii game sometime this month! Yea!

Oh and not to brag to much but i got straight A's (not a-'s people) on my midterm report. Its a good feeling.

Being Sick

I haven't had the stomach flu in years....seriously. The last time I even came close to being this sick was when I got food poisoning the beginning of my Sophomore year in college.
But...its not that bad. Actually I really rather enjoy being sick, minus the actually being sick part.

I was able to sleep in (which after not sleeping all night was a blessing), read (I'm reading the 2nd book in the hunger games series..love!), and when i could finally stomach food enough I was able to have bread and soda which are my favorite things.

When I was all done being sick and just weak I was able to catch up on everything that I hadn't done yet because I've been so busy with work and school. In fact I couldn't even go into work last night, so our whole apartment is clean and smells soooo good!

The only down side (excluding being sick part) was that Kiffer wasn't home at all yesterday :( but maybe that was for the best since he would have gotten sick too.

So background first. I think kiffer cuts his hair way too short, he looks cancer-patient like. So I asked rather nicely I think, he begs to differ, to grow it out a little.

Enjoy while my husband is at work, I'm not sure if he'll check the blog or not, but either way he is still the funniest person I know.

So when I first saw these i just thought why is he taking pictures of himself in the bathroom? Then I saw the hair, and then it came together, and he still complains that his hair is too long. haha! I have since let him cut his hair.

You need to stop having the best little kitties around to adopt. We now have 2 little guys, well one little girl and one little boy actually. I have to avoid that part of the store now so that I wont be tempted by anymore, my husband refuses to become the cat people. I agree though. But they bring joy to our lives, minus the fact that they aren't actually getting along right now and we have to keep the new little one in a bedroom. But maybe one day we can all be a big happy family.

I find myself standing in the middle of my living room, sniffing, after I spray Febreze extra strength pure refreshment, just like in the commercials. YES! I love the smell of odors disappearing. I must say that I have always been a skeptic until my thoughtful husband brought a bottle home. I now can't wait till cleaning day and find myself searching for reasons to spray you. With 2 little kitties and a husband around I now have all the reasons in the world.

So to celebrate Memorial Day we had the day off of work! Soooo kif and i went to JB's for breakfast. It was sooooo yummy! and get this i actually had an omelette. i've been having the weirdest cravings lately, but omelette is way strange since i hate eggs. But i loved it! then we went to potters and did a little shopping, i didn't get anything but i'm trying to get some ideas for something to do in our bedroom. Then we had an idea about having a bbq! the weather was suppose to be bad but luckily it didn't start raining until we were done! we had a great time with our good friends, played a little Frisbee, ate a whole lot of food, and brought the cat with us (which oddly enough he got a lot of attention from surrounding parties)

oh side story....had to go to the bathroom, of course the park bathrooms were closed. so i ran across the street into a jimmy johns and asked to use theirs. This smartalec girl was like you have to by something first. So i calmly said would you like me to relieve myself all over your floor(or something similar to that, i was pretty mad, and really cant remember my exact words) needless to say they let me use the restroom.

All in all a GREAT memorial day!

Memorial Day

Well another couple of weeks has past and i find that i still haven't updated the blog. I'm getting worse and worse the busier i get. but i have today, memorial day off so i'm doing an update.

A few Sundays ago, Mother's Day, would be probably the best place to start. We went to church and I got a little candy bag, kiffer was very jealous. However I didn't get anything from Kif because he said I wasn't a mother yet so i dont deserve it. i hit him.

Right after church i called my mom and she called JD!!!!!!!! so we did a little speaker phone action and heard jd talk about his mission and stuff. he's been having it hard, those companions can be trouble. But he sounded good!

Then our friends Tessa and Michael invited us to go to Beaver Dick for a BBQ. It was a blast, it was the first really nice day and I had no problem being outside, since then we have not had weather warmer then like 50. But we cooked hot dogs, lucky Tessa and Mike have all the out doors stuff, and we had chips and strawberries YUM!!!!! then we found some wood some slobs had left earlier and made a fire for the s'mores! It was very very tasty!

And that was probably the most exciting thing we have done in the last 2 weeks. Other than that we work, we go to school. I will say that school is not hard, i dont have to study at all and i still get a's. definitely couldn't do that down in provo. Oh and i did get a 50 dollar tip by working on this guys dog. I love my job.

But some of the little things we did. We went to my grandparents house for a sunday dinner then right after went to a work party (another cookout and lots of volleyball) which was awesome! The people i work with are a lot of fun. We watch a lot of things on instant watch through netflicks (seriously our best investment yet!) i'm now addicted to 'lie to me' and 'man vs. food'.

We took the kitty for a walk. like on a leash walk. He loved it!!!! we thought it was hilarious. and i'm a little embarrassed to be seen walking a cat, but this cat is more like a dog anyway. no picture of that yet, but i think we are taking him for a walk again today so that'll be the next post.

I took another set of engagement pics for our good friends mike and tessa! it was so much fun and i got a lot of good shots they are so photogenic!

oh and we are trying to sell kiffer's car. I want this.....

hmmmm thats all i can remember right now. i need to post more often so i dont forget. but biggest news WE ARE GOING HOME TO COLORADO OVER THE 4TH OF JULY!!!! i'm so happy to be going home, even if its still a month away. but time flies. seriously!

It was gorgeous out today! Finally, sun and warm weather all in one! We celebrated by going to the local farmers market with our friend michael, it was a blast to be out and about without a coat on!

Our little bundle of joy

No I am not talking about a human baby, that will not happen for a long time, but I am talking about our new addition to the family. Yes I know that we bought a fish, but honestly a fish gives nothing. It just sucks up water. And with the puppy gone a felt like there might have been a little hole in my heart.

Well ladies and gentlemen, that hole has been filled up with our new addition: Crash.

Our little guy was born November 25, 2009 and arrived in our home April 3, 2010. He is cute, cuddly, playful, social, and just so much fun! We got his last shot today and he is all good to go, and he was such a good little boy at the vets!

Choosing a name was harder than I thought. I liked Milo, Jasper, and Jerry (our fish is named Kramer after all, they could have been good friends). Kiffer liked Kiowa, Minki, and Crash. We consented on one that i thought was pretty fitting seeing that he has run into countless doors, pulled a pan down from the counter that hit him in the head, and can not land softly to save his life. Crash he became to be.

We love him already! He is much better than a puppy for us right now! He can be alone for hours, is already potty trained, extremely playful and sociable, and basically maintenance free. With our discount from working at PetsMart and getting free food from adopting him he hardly cost anything!

He loves to sleep between our heads at night, which is perfectly fine for me, I am use to having animals do that. However Kiffer was not. He was up for a lot of it but he still loves the kitty. Actually this is Kiffer's first cat and actually is really enjoying it!

So welcome little Crash to the Hansen family!

I think both of my boys are hilarious!

Realizing....

I just realized, while I was looking through my photos, that I never blogged about Christmas. Okay well I guess I mentioned it. But I never posted photos. So here is to a bleated, very bleated, merry Christmas.

That everyone was the tree at my parents house! I know its lovely! and that concludes the Christmas pictures.

I was the one who received it, not Kif, so it must be that only short people get the defective chap stick. haha oh well. I thought it was a hoot.

April Fools

I know its april fools day, but not even kidding I woke up to a blizzard this morning. I had to get up to go to work at 8 and I leave the house at 8:19. As I walk outside I go to lock the door and turn and face the parking lot and saw this....

Random-ness

There are several things that have happened recently that honestly couldn't go on their own blog post. Why? because they are too weird by themselves. but all together, i think it makes a perfect random post.

first up: our rotten potatoes

A few months ago my grandparents gave Kiffer and I a huge bag of potatoes. I thought sweet these will last us forever. and they have. Actually they have lasted so long that they have started to replant themselves in our pantry.

Yes those eye's would probably be about 8 inches long each, if not longer! none the less though we ate them, and by golly they tasted good!

next: pics from driving.

these few pictures have come just from driving around, mostly in Idaho falls.

and this is just a hilarious story. first the picture.

now since you can't see the picture really well i'll explain. what you are seeing behind that car is a bum. that bum looks to be getting a scolding from a cute little old lady. Now note that we are in the intersection of the busiest streets in Idaho Falls and this little old lady had pulled over to talk to this man. We didn't capture it in this picture but she was pointing and shaking her finger as well. If only I could have been in ear distance, oh that would have so made my day!

Next: my thank you notes.

I'm so proud of my thank you notes that I sent out from the wedding. Yes I know that it has been 7 or so months since i've sent them out but I just am so proud of them. Mostly because they are so dang cute. And second because they only cost me 7 dollars and 47 cents. thats right, $7.47. What a great deal.

and last: the christmas present we made for kiffer's mom.

It was a toss up in what to make her. But the final decision, with the help from Heather, was made to make a magnet board so she wouldn't have to post things on the wall anymore. It was really fun to make something together and I think that it turned out extremely well. Unfortunately I don't have a finished project but I have the work in progress :)

Kramer

My favorite character on Seinfeld is Kramer. He is funny, spastic, and totally out of control, which probably explains why I like him so much. For these reasons we have decided to name our new beta fish after him! This fish has each of the characteristics described above!

It's that time of the year....

It's that time of the year that everyone's birthday falls within a week or two of each other. Mine is the 2nd. My good friend Chris's is the 17th, my brother's is on the 18th, and my sister and brother-in-law's fall respectively on the 20th and 26th. Busy month, but come on, the best people's birthday's obviously fall in March, so its appropriate that there are so many.

I've already talked about my birthday. Just to recap it was a great day full of relaxation and no work!

Chris's birthday was fun. It was a surprise thrown at one of their friends house. Chris had no idea, even though he says he did. We greeted Chris at the door with noise makers and those popper things you usually use on new years eve that shoots confetti (what are they called?). After almost hitting him in the eye we played games and ate cake. it was a very fun night, filled with good friends.

next my brothers. It was celebrated a little differently this year since you know, he is out of the country and all, but it made me miss him and realize the far way we have come in the last 20 years of his life. I can say now that we are good friends. Honestly, I never thought I would say that, but it is true. I'm very proud of him and will be excited to celebrate when he gets back.

Unfortunately for the last two birthdays we either live to far away or work got in the way but I am grateful for my new family in my life. Getting to know them has been way fun and I'm excited for the years and many more birthdays to come.

Here is to getting older, wiser, grayer, and fatter. Happy Birthday fellow March-ians!

The other day Kiffer and I were talking about blogging.
Kiffer said that I always embarrass him by telling all his funny stories and I never tell mine.
So I am going to tell one about me today (warning if you are easily grossed out please don't read).

Yesterday I had a car appointment at 4. We both worked from 8-3:30. So it was a mad dash out of the house and a mad dash from work. We only had my set of keys and we didn't think that it was a big deal, until later.

At work I had a long day. I passed out on a customer and was not feeling good. You know, it was that time of the month one week early. After a few advil (6 of them) and a good half hour laying on a couch I could finish work, no problem. So the car appointment was still a go.

We get there and we were told that it would be 2 hours till the car was fixed. So we decided to walk home since we live about a mile away. All I wanted to do was lay down on the couch for the rest of the night. 20 minutes later we get to our front door and realized that we didn't have keys.
Panic.

I desperately needed to go to the restroom and we had just walked twenty minutes away from were my apartment key was. I couldn't believe that we didn't think this out.

So we decided to walk back and at least find somewhere to eat but I had to make a pit stop, which I am known for. Our dumpster for the apartment complex is enclosed and the only private outside place. So I did what I had to do there. I have no problem doing things like this, I think Kiffer was a little shocked. But I felt so much better.

we then walked to 'the bus', an actual bus that serves good Mexican food! YUM and picked up the car. It was a typical day for us :)

New Hair!

Yup that's right I finally got a hair cut!

The last time I cut my hair this short I was on my way to Alaska for a huge adventure and wanted a new start. This time I dont have an excuse other than that I desperately needed one.

So while Kiffer and I were out running errands today we passed a salon and decided to go ask about his really bad flaky head. While in there I was like you know its been a long time since I've cut my hair do you have anything open today and they did. actually right then! So I got 10 inches chopped off. My head feels light as a feather! and I really like it!

Yeah for being random....its the best 20 dollars spent! until we got to the grocery store that is!

We decided that the salon shampoo was way to expensive so we went to the grocery store for more specific shampoo for Kif. It just so happens that in the same isle there is hair dye. So thinking that I was being uber cheap at the salon I got a box to get rid of my roots! It was my first time dying my hair by myself and I think I did a good job.

The stuff was disgusting it looked like melted chocolate. Kiffer had to hold the towel for me so that I wouldn't get any on my clothes and he was so grossed out. But in the end my hair is now all one color and all gone! yeah! Summer is almost here!

oh speaking of gross, we wanted to make home made pizza last night and I went to the fresh veggie draw and it reeked so bad it mad Kiffer gag. I mean there was a yellow pee like liquid all over the bottom and some of the veggies were so mushy that just moving them turned to liquid. It was pretty bad.

This transferring business has turned into one royal pain in the butt.

Endless amounts of phone calls and office visits

When will the madness end?!?! probably never, but I have to register this week and I'm still talking to people. GAH! I seriously wish this place would drop into the earth and I could go back to Provo! Or a nice break from here to go home would be nice too!

We'll see what happens this next week.

Puppy Love

We inherited a puppy for the weekend. A ten week old, huge!, black lab! oh she was the most precious thing. I feel in love immediately!

How we got her:
We were at work one day and we walked into the break room and our boss had the puppy at her feet and I went and played with her. Our boss had asked if we were interested and I said yes immediately but that we probably couldn't because of where we lived. A few days later our boss asked if we could at least take her for a few days because her own dogs got skunked. So I said absolutely!

Those 4-5 days were the best and the hardest. I forgot how time consuming puppies could be. From making sure they weren't peeing on everything in sight to puppy proofing the house I was exhausted! But we got outside more, we stopped catching up on past tv shows, and had a lot of fun playing all the time.

I loved her! I seriously considering moving to another place so we could keep her. If it weren't for my husband to keep me in line we would still be hiding her.

The worst part was actually finding a home for her. I found out at work that someone was seriously interested. I had to do the right thing. So the entire way home from work, all the way back to PetsMart with the puppy, and for basically 2 days after wards I cried. And I am not a crier. Worse day? Yes I think so.

I can not wait till the day that I can have my own puppy. Well, puppies. Its going to be great! And I already have the leashes picked out that I want. One of the perks of working at PetsMart.

I'm the big 2-2 now! Should I be happy that I'm getting older? Well honestly 19 was the best age still teenager, no major responsibilities, and the freedoms I want. 20 was just awkward, the in between grown-up and adolescence. 21 nothing special for me, its not like I drink. So yes I'm happy that now I'm good to go and can pretend that I will no longer get older!

For my b-day Kif woke me up and took me to a music store with our good friend Chris. They let me pick out a couple of things I wanted and then we went and had these scrumdiliumptious sandwiches from Great Harvest Bread Company for our breakfast/lunch.

Since we both had the day off of work, I know right and we didn't even have to request it!, we headed to Idaho Falls and picked up a few things that we needed for the apartment still. (pictures are coming, like I said in the previous post, the card is still in the computer, still at the computer fixing place)

We ended the day at Red Robin. A yummy treat! It was a good day for not turning a year older :)

One Step Closer

....to a fabulous vacation at Disney World :)

Our really good friends, Jamie and Doug, told us about an opportunity to volunteer to get a free day at Disney. I have never heard anything better. After finding a good one, by good I mean really close, easy, and just a few days away, we were all signed up and ready to go.

So Saturday morning we all pile into the car and start heading to Idaho Falls to make blankets. Funny thing though is that the place had given us 2 directions. So we guess and picked one that ended up being on the completely other side of town and was the committee head's house. Eventually we made it to the right place and there was just a few blankets left to be done. In all honesty it was the best way to get a free pass!

Then on the way home we decided to find this supposedly good burger place called Big Judd's. Everyone has heard of this place but absolutely no one knows how to get there. (Which after being there I can see how it would be hard to give directions to this place) So after wandering and some phone calls (with directions consisting of take the left fork and you'll go around a bend, then pass an empty store place and you'll see it on the right), which I thought was the funniest part of the day, we ended up there and getting a good meal. I wouldn't say its the best burgers ever but it was good and I would go back again....if it weren't so far out in the middle of nowhere :) It really was a day for bad directions HA!

But it was a really great day and I had a ton of fun! Jamie I think we all need to have another day like that again!

.....I'm updating the blog. Its been over a month and a lot has happened. Instead of doing a detailed post I think I'm just going to do some bullet points.most important:
Both Kiffer and I are employed. We are both working at PetsMart! I have been working there for almost a month now and Kiffer just got the call this morning. Yea! I love it, mostly I love having a job! and now I love that we both have a job! congrats to us!

next:
my parents have sent us a Wii for our birthdays. Our birthdays are only a month apart and I've been begging for one since I can't even remember. And now this is what we do all the time! we might be a little addicted but I dont care! and now we have something to spend our paychecks on. haha!

Kiffer's B-day:
I planned a surprise party! and let the record know that Kiffer was SHOCKED! it took a lot of planning and convincing to get him there but in the end it was worth it. I just wish my pictures turned out better, i might need a new camera. But he was surprised and we had a great night playing games with friends!

update:

the resolutions are going okay....like i said in the previous post, i will get a job, and I have a job. however the weight loss isn't going so hot. I'm down 5 lbs. but honestly we all know i could be doing better.
some of our really good friends up here got engaged! yea! we're not going to be like the only ones we know married.
V-day we didn't do anything special except that for one of the 12 apostles, Elder Cook, came and spoke to our stake and Kiffer and I were apart of the choir. pretty dang cool! and we had dinner with our cousins and we played some wii :)
we went through another hand mixer. This one however did not get melted, it only stripped. hehe! but again we are hands only people.

new goal:
Kiffer and I have decided to plan a vacation for next time we are out of school for our late one year anniversary. So next January or February we are going here..

mainly because both of us love this place and I dont think I'm going to be able to survive another rexburg winter without some sort of heat/warm weather. So we have started the savings plan and we are sticking to it! because between you and me, I desperately want to go to the new Harry Potter World in Universal Studios! So this saturday, with our really good friends Jamie and Doug, we are volunteering to get a free day pass to Disney World! yea!

and another thing, I'm going to be a lot better about posting because now I have nothing to complain about!

Its a New Year

A new year means a new start. Not that I'm complaining about 2009 but I am ready for things to improve, mainly things about me. SOOOO for this new year there are a lot of things that I will be working on and Kiffer will too.

*Both of us are going to improve on personal and couple scripture reading and prayer
*goal to lose weight and get in shape--yea yea I know that its a yearly thing that I decide to do this, but this year is it, I'm sick of the way I look and everything else about me for that matter. I have a plan and an incentive.... So 2010 welcome a new ME!
*Kiffer and I will have a job this year if it means I have to forcibly take one. haha jk but we will have a job, i'm very determined.
*high grades....gpa has to be above 3.5
*Get into the nursing program
*legally change my name

Okay really thats about it. I can't give myself to much because then nothing will get done. But I think they are great goals, if i do say so myself.

but a little recap of 2009:
*beginning of the year: first time in a single's ward that I loved to death. I had great friends, a great ward, and had a great time. I'm still a little sad that I can't see those people everyday still.
*In Feb. Kiffer came home from his mission, it was great to talk to a good friend from high school (little did I know that I was going to fall head over heels in love)
*I finished my 3rd year of college with all passing grades, this next semester I will get all A's
*moved home to spend time with my family and best friends
*My best friends got married, Emily in August and Sam in September
*got engaged and married :)
*my little brother left on a mission for the Dominican Republic
*moved to idaho and transferred to BYU-I (still hate it, but I'm trying i promise)but I get to be close to Jamie now!
*experienced the coldest fall of my life (it snowed the first week in September)
*made lots of crafts :)
*had wonderful holidays with family (Thanksgiving in Utah, Christmas in Colorado, New Years in Idaho, however I'm not sure that I like having both families in the same town, it was stressful and I felt bad realizing I couldn't be in 2 places at once. When is the future going to get here with flying cars and time warp?)

Overall a great year but I'm anxious for 2010 and everything it has to offer!

Typical Day

Here in this household it is not uncommon to encounter some peculiar events. Most days something happens that we collapse from laughing to hard. Recently we had to experiences involving veggie oil and our hand mixer.

Recently my grandparents came up to go watch Kiffer's final choir concert (hallelujah that class is over) and we were talking about the time that I had such a dry itchy scalp we put baby oil on it and it would not come out, despite the 6-8 times I washed my hair.
Now Kiffer for the last few months have had the dry itchy scalp and we just could not afford any of the nice shampoo that takes care of it. So I decided that we were going to put veggie oil on his head to see if it worked (what works the best is olive oil by the way, but we just didn't have that) so for about a half hour I chased him around the apartment determined to help, for some reason he was resistant and refuse. However after acting like a mother, he finally gave in and let me put it on his head.

it made his head really red, he normally has more blondish color than reddish color, but not with veggie oil in!

And jut to be clear it has helped ever since, he doesn't have that itchy scalp and I like not having to use the lint roller on all our furniture!

I had an emotional break down a few nights ago, just the build up of not finding a job and not going to school and being stuck in an awful town has finally taken its toll on me. So after staying up all night with me basically, my wonderful husband surprised me with breakfast in bed.
Just a side note, he tried to make me pancakes, which is my favorite breakfast, and he couldn't find the normal recipe that I use, so he picked a Swedish recipe (which was like a crepe) and couldn't understand why they were so thin....it was the cutest thing!

So because the pancakes didn't work out he brought me in cereal, which I like just as much, and it was so nice to eat in bed! So after eating he takes our dishes and I go get ready to the bathroom to get ready, I come out a few minutes later and he is trying to hide something. Which was this....

Our hand mixer. I guess what happened after trying to make the pancakes on the griddle and learning that they weren't looking like they were suppose to he decided to put them in a cookie pan and place it in the oven. Now our stove/oven has a vent that lets some of the air out through are stove top. He just happened to have a glass pan on top of the vent with the mixer inside it. Needless to say our little mixer has seen better days, and we finally had to put him to rest, which now if you need last minute gift ideas we could really use another one :)

But that's our life, always eventful. We are getting ready this week to go home! Kiffer is off taking finals, I'm working on getting the apartment in order and finishing our gifts (which I would post pictures of something we are making but I'm not sure who actually reads this, so I'll be safe and wait until after christmas, but I'm so excited about it!)
We are Utah bound tomorrow and Colorado bound on Friday! Yea for Christmas!

Which if anyone knows me would know that I was all over that! And there was a tutorial on how to use them. So now I have all these cute new fonts for Microsoft Windows and to use in a blog post!

Life in the Fast Lane

I feel that fast is an understatement. Didn't I just write about October being over? how is it that November is over now too? I feel like time is slipping through my fingers. It might be that I am so busy that I just don't notice the days passing or it could be that I have hardly have anything to do so I lose track of what day it really is. (I'm leaning toward the latter)

But alas, November is over, and I feel that I need to post about our doings around the Hansen household.

How many men does it take to grate some cheese?

Earlier this month we had some friends over for dinner. It was a fun night of eating and game playing. And just to point out, this is really how they grated the cheese, no joke, I asked Kiffer to do it and I turn around and this is what I saw, it was hilarious!

Kiffer finished football. His team made it into the playoffs. They lost in the semifinals round, but overall it was a good season, and I enjoyed watching him play!

Kiffer also went on a mini tour with the choir stopping in Twin Falls and then on to Salt Lake City where they performed in the tabernacle.

And of course everyone knows that it was also No-Shave-November, to keep within the honor code (ugh!) though it was contained to just a mustache.

And the only reason I let him keep it for as long as he did (which was over 3 weeks by the way!!) was because we were making it look good for his mom.....which the reaction was priceless, I only wish I got it on camera! Lets just say I don't think when we say we have a surprise that it will be received as well as this time.

Thanksgiving week was wonderful. Kiffer got a full week out of school and it was nice to just hang out and sleep in (for him, not me, lets face it I can sleep as much as I like)! However we only got the weekend for that as we went to Utah Tuesday night so that Wednesday morning I could see my family in Morgan. It was nice to see them, things have been hard, and a family is the perfect medicine.
We spent the day relaxing and hanging out. I took pictures of one of the two new babies in my life, my new little cousin, Claire, who was two weeks old that day....absolutely the cutest baby girl (i'm okay in saying the cutest girl because the other is a boy, which he is the cutest boy by the way)!!

Then Wednesday night we went and saw the Trans-Siberian Orchestra which was amazing. Long, but still amazing. And I wouldn't be me if I didn't mention the great parking we got right down town! I mean, come on, it was right next to the building!

Then turkey day I stayed at G&G Hansen's to help make food in the morning and Kiffer went with my family (just the boys) shooting. Turkey day was good! Good food, good company, what could be better? And that night we went back to my aunt's to hang out a little with my family. It was so nice to have everyone so close to go back and forth, it makes the holidays so much better!

Then Friday, yup Black Friday, we didn't get up early to go shopping. Which I'm totally okay with because we did go later to get some movies :) and that night my nephew, Everett, got blessed (the cutest boy I mentioned earlier). I'm sad I didn't get any pics! Next time!

Saturday, we went down to RoseAnn's and went to a wedding reception on Kiffer's Moms side. And while I was down there I got to see EMILY!!!!! yea! it was way to long since I've seen her! it was fun to catch up and see her cute place! :( makes me sad that we don't live closer together, or that I'm terrible at talking on the phone. But it was great to catch up!
It was fun to go to the reception as well, I got to meet a lot of new family, and a ton of J names I swear will take me a life time to get down. But it was fun!

Sunday we went back up to Holladay to help Heather take the boys to church! So much fun!!!! I loved being an aunt to two great boys!! Then we went back to RoseAnn's for dinner and then headed on home!

phew! that was a long week to catch up on! and that was November in a nutshell.

With November gone now, I get even more desperate and nervous to find a job. I'm at the breaking point....or well this point......

I think I'm a great employee. I would hire me. SOOOO i think someone should hire me! because if I can't find a job soon things will get bad, Kiffer will be done with his campus job in a few weeks, and we'll be out of money. And we feel that we have to stay in Rexburg (as much as a really don't want to admit that) we kind of need a job to stay! AHHH! Please keep us in your prays!

But other than that, things are great, so bring on December!

Another week is over. And it has been an eventful week! Not all good and I am very glad its over!

I have spent my first weekend alone, and it was successful! I have been dreading this weekend for a while since I found out Kiffer had to do a mini choir tour to salt lake city. but instead of staying awful rexburg alone I spent the friday and saturday down in Blackfoot with my grandparents! And it was even better because I got to see my adorable little cousins Will and Drew. I haven't seen those two in over 6 months and I'm glad its not going to be as long again! (again during thanksgiving break and for new years!) These two are the funniest! Probably my favorite moment with these two was when we went to McDonald's and Drew wanted a Cheeseburger Happy Meal. When asked if he wanted Ketchup he replied "i want the ketchup on the side please!" haha! i almost died laughing, he is the brightest and has the best vocabulary of any 3 year old i have ever met! he says words that I dont use daily! yea for family! And i'm sad I didn't get any pictures!

i'm not sure how the mini choir tour has gone, since kiffer is still gone and wont be back till 2 in the morning :( (and i have to go pick him up) but I'm very excited to be with my hubby again! I've missed him!

now for the bad news and why this week has been really stressful. I heard back from school, and yes I was accepted (duh) but the track I got on will force me to be out of school for an entire year! I wont be able to start until spring and the reason is because I was put on the same track as my husband. Now i know a lot of people would be ecstatic to be on the same track, however this puts us in a really, really hard situation. I have still been unable to find a job and the school has given kiffer a job but you must be taking at least 12 credits. With both of us off track next semester, and jobless, we dont know what to do or if we are in the right place. And not to mention that everything i have always said about this "hell on earth" place has been accurate....just wanted to point that out that I was right! So some hard decisions are having to be made.

The longer we are here the harder things become. It seems totally pointless to go to school in the fall and then have to wait again till the spring. the point of college is to get in and get out. get a degree and get a real job. and thats what i want to do but how can i when i am being held back and not being able to do anything about it? and not to mention they dont offer all the majors for all tracks...yea. I'm so frustrated with this school, this place, and a lot of other things and it has really made it hard to stay positive, as you can probably tell from this post and i cant even put into words the things that are really happening and how i'm really feeling. sigh.

i wish i was still going to school in provo.

I can't believe how fast time is flying! and that the holiday seasons are finally here! I LOVE fall! I love the time you get to spend with family, making memories and eating! yum!

but before we get to thanksgiving or christmas.....we have to tell about Halloween!!! Halloween is my favorite holiday! i love haunted houses, scary movies, costumes, and everything else! We didn't really do much for this Halloween, limited incomes and all, but it was still very fun!

Friday night we had our friends Mason and Kelsey over! We played a game, watched Ghost Adventures, ate caramel popcorn, and then watched Changeling. Overall I think it was a very fun night! Even if the movie was ridiculously funny and not one bit scary! OH about the popcorn. I was having some major problems making it! First I cooked the sauce to long, waaayyy to long! the caramel sauce was like biting into a rock! i seriously almost broke my jaw! so i sent kiffer out to get a bigger bowl so I could mix all the popcorn together at once. He came home with this......

This "bowl" is huge! but it definitely worked for what we needed it for! Everyone keep joking that it would make a great bathtub for our kids! but I am going to put it into my kit for photography. I think it will make a cute prop for kids! what do you think? But the second batch was delectably delicious!

Actual Halloween day wasn't very exciting. I work in the temple on Saturday mornings in the Laundry. I don't particularly like it, I don't even do my own laundry, but I like being able to serve! Kiffer had a football game, unfortunately they lost, but he made some pretty awesome catches! Unfortunately I did not have my camera since I came straight from the temple to see the last quarter.
We then had to run to the grocery store so we could pick up some ingredient so Kiffer can make his homemade salsa! Yum it is soooo good! We spent too much time in the grocery store, and too much money, but we came home with ingredients for the yummiest quesadillas I have ever had! We then kicked back and watched several hours of Ghost Adventures....which is probably my new favorite show! And we did not get one single trick or treater. :(

Overall.....a good first Halloween together!

......husband in the world! I know, I know, it sounds totally cliche, but it still doesn't undermine that its totally true! I have been, and this is not an exaggeration, somewhat of a zombie lately. Like for the past couple of weeks. I eat, sleep, and do nothing, and that is the whole of my existence. With no job, no school, and barely anything to get me out of bed I have become a blob. But that doesn't matter to Kiffer. He thinks I do everything in the world when in reality he does. My husband is Superman! Just to prove it, here is his typical day

and in between all that, he helps me with dishes and dinner, and takes the time to stop and talk/joke around with me! Yesterday morning he even had the best surprise for me!

On Wednesdays Kiffer is very lucky that he doesn't have class till 12:45. so usually he comes home from work and gets back into bed. We both then wake up about ten (well actually I usually wake up at 8, and I just read till he gets up) then we just lay there and talk. Yesterday, being Wednesday, we fall into the same routine until Kiffer jumps up so excited and tells me to stay there and don't get up till he says its okay. A few minutes later he runs back in the room, practically pulls me out of bed, and takes me into the living room. I'm standing in the middle of the room when I hear our song start to play. We then dance to it! Yes, I loved every minute of it! Seriously, how did I get someone so amazing? "And I thought I loved him then....

........I just don't know what to do with myself! Since I'm still lacking in the job department I find myself, a lot of the time, just starring, not knowing what to do. So I have been trying, for the last couple of weeks, to find things to entertain myself while I wait to hear back from the jobs that I have applied for.

In the last 2 weeks I have.......

made a clock (pictures in previous post)
Finished decorating the apartment!
made 3 batches of sugar cookies and decorated them (the last batch is still in progress, they need to be done for Sunday dinner at Grandma's!)
read 4 books (2 being the first 2 in the twilight series (those are big books!) I haven't gotten to the 3rd because I need to run to the library to get it!)
normal house things, like cleaning and laundry (the boring stuff)
becoming totally addicted to these games on facebook including FarmVille and Fish World....I know I'm a total nerd!
Spent General Conference weekend with Grandma and Grandpa and went to Womens night at Dessert Book with Grandma and Aunt Judy which was so much fun!
did P90X a couple of times.....I'm still trying to get into the routine
contemplated about why we have skipped fall and went right into winter (very sad as fall is my favorite season!)
donated plasma while I am still finding a job!
applied and transferred to BYU-I
Got Kiffer and I car insurance
looked into volunteering at the local animal shelter (I really want a puppy and a kitten for myself!)
went to the temple in Idaho Falls when the Grandparents were working
saw Kiffer play football (which his team totally dominated the other one!)

he is number 19....he really wanted 20, so close!yup he caught and gained 5 yards with that!!

tried to keep tabs on my missionary brother
wondered around Potter's (the best craft store in the world) several times
watched glee and the office faithfully
caught up on the music I have missed during the summer
and worked on my online class

You think I would have to be a little more exhausted doing all of that, but I'm so utterly bored/lonely that I don't know what to do! and to add to it, Kiffer got a job right away. Apparently BYU-I isn't nearly as affected by the economy as the rest of the town. I'm very grateful for the job, we can finally breathe a little knowing that there is some money coming in and its a huge blessing in our lives! Kiffer's job however requires him to wake up at 3:30 in the morning and clean but until I can find something I can not complain....I just feel awful for Kif! He's a good man to just do it and still listen to all of my complaining.

For Heather to have her baby! (I'm very excited I married into a family that already gives me the opportunity to be an aunt, since my own family wont be for quite a long time!)
Thanksgiving! we get to leave Rexburg!
The end of the semester...that means I get to go back to school!

getting a kitten and/or a puppy (I'm not sure how soon this one will happen but I'm still overly excited for it!)

Things have been a little slow around here lately. The job hunt has thus far been totally unsuccessful but I think I might have a couple of leads. Cross your fingers! School for Kiffer is going pretty good. He's had a couple of tests and has done well! He is also doing competitive inter mural football and has his first game on Saturday!

And we have had a heck of a time working on this car insurance business. Long story short I payed for myself for the next 6 months and was told, since I'm married, that Kiffer has to be the primary name (total shot to my ego, let me tell you, for I am a very VERY independent person!) They then told me that I would have to pay an additional 300 dollars! Being a poor student that was completely out of the question....so for the past few days I have been scrambling to find something better only to learn yesterday that everything was a miss communication (meaning they made a mistake on their end) and I don't owe 300! phew! Kiffer still has to be the primary name but we got a good deal! So we are going to be insured by State Farm! yea!

But I have still had a lack of things to occupy myself during the long hours of the day ( I can only job search for so long). So i have finished decorating the apartment and have started to be crafty again! I have made a clock!!!! (its now my pride and joy and I can't stop looking at it!) So like I promised, oh so long ago, pictures of our place!

One Month!

That's right folks! I've been married for an entire month! We have had our fare shares of challenges with putting two totally different lives together but it has been a blissful month! I'm a very lucky person to have such a loving husband!

We didn't do anything to special, we just spent the night together after a busy day at school and job searching! I made chicken enchiladas (which are my great friend Emily's recipe that I LOVE!) and had part of our wedding cake (i wanted to enjoy some of it since i didn't get any at the wedding, and in a year it probably wont taste very good!)

That previous weekend we went down for one of my best friend's wedding! Sam married a great guy named Ryan. They were sealed in the Mount Timpanogos, it was a beautiful wedding filled with love ones! I'm very excited for them! Congrats you two!

And.....I've also started on the road of P90X! 3 months from now I will be a new women! I will post before and after pics too! I'm hoping to lose between 10-20 pounds in the next three months and tone up so my upper body strength is much greater! I'm going to keep pushing play!

JD is now Elder Gardiner and has been officially dropped off at the MTC! I had the opportunity on Tuesday to drive down to Provo to meet up with my parents and JD to spend one last night together as a family. It was very fun! We went to Fuddruckers for dinner and did some last minute shopping needs.

Later that night we just chilled in the hotel room, getting more things done and watching animal planet. My husband could not be there with us, as he is in school this semester. As I was talking to Kiffer through text my family and I were having the discussion of when we would have kids, and JD thinks we will have 2 by the time he is home. I however WILL NOT have any kids by when he gets home, since I want to get a degree. And so of course there is now a bet. At this point Kiffer sends a text saying sends his love. I wrote back, using JD's words, saying if you loved him you would be here :) Kiffer then relies that he will be here when JD gets home. and maybe a nephew too! There was then a lot of laughing due to the obvious contradiction between my husband and me. And JD is now confident he will win the bet!

The next morning there was another wave of flurry as we still didn't have everything done for JD. We made a trip to Walmart, finished marking scripture mastery scriptures, and other odds 'n ends. In our efforts to be ready on time my dad and I went and picked up a couple of pizzas for lunch.

Then in a mad dash we left the hotel and speed towards the MTC. JD's report time was 12:45, we pulled into the MTC at 12:44. So we got no pictures and were kind of rushed.

(funny story about the above picture. As I was uploading the pictures from the last couple of days onto my computer this one pops up and my husband, who was standing behind me, asked who the person on the right was. I was like THATS ME! I know, I know, I look like an overly tanned man, but I thought i would be at least recognizable.)

The next few minutes were very rushed. The new way of dropping off a missionary is very very quick. 4 missionaries meet you at your designated drop off number on the side of the street, like a drive through. 2 of the missionaries grab the suitcases from the car while the other 2 great the new missionary. We barely had time to hug and to shed a few tears before they started to escort JD into MTC.

So its over. Probably the hardest part was after JD was gone and driving away, I think that's when the reality hit all of us. But we are very proud of the choices he has made and the decision to serve a mission! Its gonna be exciting to see what the next 2 years brings for us all and the changes that JD goes through!!

DI is probably the greatest thing ever! We got a couch, complete with a hide away, and a really nice desk for 25 each! woohooo!

It was a little scary though. We were there picked out the couch, got one of the guys that worked there (who is suppose to put a sold sticker on it so that no one else can take it) and the guy told us to go and pay. I keep saying you need to put something on it so that no one takes it, and the guy refused. So we run up to cash register and as we are paying I notice 2 girls scoping out the couch. They got someone, who was putting a sold sticker on the couch. So I made Kiffer run over and be like sorry this is ours. Luckily, since i payed we got the couch, but whoa it was intense for a few moments.

Then the next trick was getting it home. We bought it in Idaho Falls, 30 miles away. The ride home was a wreck for me. Because we were driving like this.........

But never fear we did make it home safe and sound, despite my white knuckles and nail indents in Kiffer's arm. Cutting through all the rope!

Another thing I'm really grateful for is strong men! That couch is one heavy couch! I could pick it up and that was about it. I'm glad Kiffer has some strong friends, and even better strong friends that are willing to help!
On a totally different note, my brother got set apart as a missionary today and gave his farewell talk. I'm very sad that I am not there. In fact I actually cried, for anyone who knows me knows that that is totally weird. I never cry. I feel really bad that I wasn't there. But I'm driving down to Provo Tuesday so that I can at least see him enter the MTC the next day! Which I'm super excited about. But Elder Gardiner is going to make a great missionary and is going to love the Dominican Republic! And now I have someone to send letters to for two years! yeah for missionaries!

Second Sunday down! And it didn't take long for me to get caught and given a calling. You are looking at the new......RS publicist. I have no idea what it is or what i have to do. But I'm excited. Kiffer hasn't gotten one yet, but I'm sure he is not far behind me!

So I'm seriously considering getting P90X.
We had it my sophomore year in college and it was amazing! I want to lose weight and get toned and this I know would help! Its amazing! So 90 days from now, hopefully, I will look better!

Other Obsession!

previous post i mentioned that i have two obsessions: The Office and Harry Potter.Well.......Today is the day that I have been waiting for all summer!!!! The Office Season 6 will air tonight at 8!!!! WOOOOOOHOOOOOO!!!!!! I'm totally excited! I have made sure that I have nothing tonight between the times of 8-8:30 (not like I needed to do any clearing in my "oh so busy life").

Also I have been thinking of things to make for dinner that are "Office" based. Roadkill Goose, Samosas, 'man-meat', mung beans, or cooked foot seem to be just out of my grasp of culinary expertise. But maybe pizza (i wont keep hostage the delivery boy), paper shaped pancakes, tuna/ham sandwiches, or 2 full rotisserie chickens will be good! oh and double fudge brownies for dessert! YUM! This is my idea of a "Themed" party.

In preparation for tonight's event I have been "making" Kiffer watch the previous seasons so that he knows what is going on! I'm happy to report that even though we didn't quite make it all the way through, Kiffer loves the office now! and asks to watch it before i do! tear, i'm so proud!

On a totally un-office related note......i have finished applying to transfer. I sent my transcript request in today and paid my application fee. (see, i told you I was going to suck it up and move on!) So soon I will be the newest student at sigh...it was going to happen sooner or later. But a nursing degree is a nursing degree no matter what school it comes from.

I've also been frantically applying for jobs, all different kinds of jobs, I'm not even being picky! I pray that I can find one soon!

I have 2 obsessions: The Office and the Harry Potter Series!!!!! (the books, not the movies, definitely NOT the movies) I don't care what people think about it but I love these things more than life itself!
So today as I was searching the Internet for jobs I came across this new Harry Potter attraction! I'm so beyond excited right now I'm actually shaking!!! And I can guarantee that I will be there in person when its open!!! here is actual pictures and movie about The Wizarding World of Harry Potter!

Disoriented....

......was an understatement. A few nights ago I woke up completely convinced that I was still in Provo, still attending BYU, still working at the CougarEat, and most importantly single. As I rolled over to fall back asleep, as I did "had class in the morning", I came face to face with a man. Lets just say it completely scared the heck out of me! After I got done choking and allowed my heart rate to slow down, fits of giggles ensued as I had a chance to remember that I'm married. I couldn't wait till morning to be able to tell Kiffer what happened!

Also, Congratulations Universe, I'm admitting something I never thought I would........ I totally missing Utah (Provo Mostly), and BYU. And not to mention my friends, specially Emily! Today Pres. Monson is speaking for devotional, (up here at BYU-I they are not privileged enough to enjoy such perks) and I couldn't help but think that I never went to the prophet's devotional and now I don't get to. There are actually a lot I hadn't done yet because I thought I would have the time, like hiking the Y, going to every single home football game, or finishing a degree from a pretty prestigious school. In short........ I MISS BYU!!okay time to suck it up and get on with life! I wont complain anymore.....at least I wont try, no guarantee though because I will have to start school up here at some point :(

On a much brighter note the apartment is almost done! Just one couch to go! wooohoo!!!

So we did it! We found where and when church was this week!

That probably doesn't sound like a hard task but actually it was more difficult then I anticipated. We had moved in and asked the manager of the complex where, when, and what ward we would be in and she had no idea. All she knew was that there were 2 wards for our building (yes strange i know) and we got to choose which one to go to. if any of you know me well then you would know that I'm super indecisive and the choose was daunting to me. So we decided to look online next, that didn't help because it showed 2 different times for 2 different wards, but it was at the same building. So we just went to church at one and asked around! luckily someone knew, and church starts at 1:30! phew! it was a lot of work!

But we have a ward and everyone seems really nice. hopefully we fit in!

Here we are. First Sunday going to church together as a married couple!

Last night Kiffer and I attended a block party with a friend back from Colorado. Start of a new school year and semester causes for celebration. We joined in the festivities by standing outside, listening to music, and had the occasional urge to swing our hips. It turned out to be quite fun, even if Kiffer and I were the only married couple there. We ended the night with a rousing game of balderdash.

Right before the block party I made the first dinner meal for Kiffer in our new apartment. Before you judge me and say I'm a terrible wife for not cooking for 2 weeks take a look at the scrumptious concoction!

yes, that is a homemade pizza! it was oh so yummy!!! Kiffer looks totally thrilled to be eating it :) actually he loved it and told many people that we meet that night that it was really good! I purposely saved some so i could have it again today!

On a different note I was using the new apple corer i got for my bridal shower and totally cut my thumb open! now it doesn't seem really bad, because its not, but its a running joke in my family that i have to show everyone every cut and bruise i get......so case in point.....my thumb

So today Kiffer spent our 2 week anniversary by......still unpacking the apartment!!!! YES! we are still not very close to be done, but we are getting there. However I'm getting my camera ready for the day that i can post pics of a finished apartment!

I have spent a good deal of time trying to figure out this blogging thing the last few days. I have had a lot of pictures to edit and figure out how to put up. I think it might be getting to kiffer......he just informed me that if he sees any more pictures he will get a "picture seizure"......haha i think that is a cue for me to be done!

It's time to jump on the band-wagon and join the blogging world!!! Well actually now that I live so far from family and friends this seemed like the easiest (not to mention more fun) way of keeping in touch with all the details of life!

Kiffer and I got married 2 weeks ago TOMORROW!!!! whoa! Time certainly flies! Its been a great 2 weeks though, and it makes me excited to see whats next. Pictures of the blessed day will come shortly!

We spent our honeymoon up in the mountains in the cute city of Breckenridge. My dad was able to barter for some lodging! it was a wonderful, relaxing (i was very sick for the wedding and the honeymoon with a wicked cold, so relaxing was key!) way to spend the week!! Especially after such a hectic previous week! But we had a wonderful room, with a great view, and we did some really fun things!

Now we are up in Idaho. Let me tell you it has been a huge adjustment.....its already cold for crying out loud!!!!! but i'm really grateful that we have a place to live and somewhere to sleep! (pictures of the place will come....we are still a work in progress!) So if now i can find a job we would be set!

Kiffer started school Thursday! we made sure that he had everything he needed ready the night before, we even double checked the alarm! which was at 6:45 by the way. 6:45 rolls around, he takes a shower, gets already for school, looks at his schedule to find out where his class is and realizes that it doesn't start till 9! ahhh! it was pretty funny though, however tired we were that day!

Life is crazy but way good....now that i'm apart of the blogging world i will be able to share more about the happenings in our life!
